Who is responsible for your data

Lake Como Elegant Escapes — Stefano Ronchetti, Lake Como, Italy, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at stefano.ronchetti@hotmail.co.uk or on +39 391 352 1348.

What data we collect

  • Enquiry details you choose to send us: name, email address, phone number where provided, preferred dates, group size, departure point and the content of your message.
  • Technical data generated when you browse: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and approximate location, processed by our hosting provider for security and stability.
  • Local preferences stored in your browser, such as your cookie choice. This stays on your device.

We do not use advertising or profiling technologies, and we do not buy or sell personal data.

Why and on what legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal — performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps.
  • To organise and deliver a booked experience, including safety and departure arrangements — contract.
  • To keep the website secure and functioning — legitimate interest.
  • To comply with tax, accounting and maritime obligations — legal obligation.

How enquiries reach us

The enquiry forms on this site do not store data on our servers: they prepare a message in your own email application, which you then send. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is processed by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms.

Who may process data on our behalf

We use a website hosting and platform provider, an email provider and, on some pages, an embedded weather forecast service. These act as processors or independent controllers under their own terms and may process data outside the European Economic Area on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, unless a booking is made; in that case documents required for tax and accounting purposes are kept for 10 years, as Italian law requires.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to stefano.ronchetti@hotmail.co.uk and we will reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or the authority in your country of residence.

Children

This website is not directed at children. Details of minors joining a cruise are provided by the adult making the booking, for safety purposes only.

Cookies

For details on the technical cookies and local storage this site uses, see our Cookie Policy.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version.
