The recommendation
A table worth arriving by boat.
Al Molo 5 is a small lakeside address at Vassena, the quiet fishing hamlet of Oliveto Lario on the western shore of the Lecco branch; its restaurant is Le Marre. The terrace rests just above the water, so the Grigne are in front of you and the lake below — a place better reached by boat than by road, and one we are glad to recommend to our guests.
The kitchen keeps a short menu between land and lake, guided by the season and by produce from close at hand, with an Italian wine list behind it. We plan the crossing so that you step ashore with time for an aperitivo before the table is ready.

Opening hours
12:00–15:00 and 18:30–22:30, closed on Wednesdays. Hours are those published by the restaurant, so it is always worth a glance at their site before travelling.
